Sukošan is a small town located in a large Golden Bay Airport, the Adriatic highway seven kilometers southeast of Zadar. Economy is based on tourism, farming, viticulture, olive and fruit growing. Today is the seat of Sukošan, which belong to the town Debeljak, Glavica and Gorica. The town has about 3,000 residents. Sukošan has a kindergarten, an elementary school with a new equipped sports hall, medical and dental practices, and everything else that makes the place comfortable for living throughout the year and many have recognized it as an ideal place for vacation.
It is truly a tourist resort: it has over 3000 beds in luxurious apartments, boarding houses and hotels, as well were killed and numerous campsites situated near the sea. Thanks to the marina "Dalmacija" has become a paradise for boaters.
